Please enjoy this amazing article by our good friend and fellow agro-enthusiast Celine Jennison. We met through a Cornell professor and she got to take a couple of days off from her research on Hawaii island to visit our farm with her partner Christian Shaw. During our time together they both shared useful advice, meaningful insight, and knowledge from her studies with agro-forests and perennial systems. With her help we are on the right track and hope to have her back soon!
Now is the time. Immersing youth in mindful agricultural practices ignites the meaningful and necessary connection between people and food... between people and the environment. Every interaction is a lesson awaiting fruition. The more interactions we provide the more lessons we learn and the closer we get to finding solutions we need for a healthy practice. Let us not underestimate the potential of our youth!
